malas nyer nk update fotopages ni. i'm back for more than 2 weeks now, but am damn too lazy to upload pics. maybe it's the pics. it brings back lots and lots of good memories. makes me kinda sad. why? cos i'm alone now on this wet, wet land of newcastle, with my struggle to decide what to eat everyday..decisions decisions..well you still have to decide what to eat right?
so today, tuesday 10jan06, i finally decided to drag my lazy bum out of the bed to upload some pics here. the date above is referred to the date the event actually happened.
these pics were taken on my flight back home with ellina. we had a 9 hour transfer in dubai. gosh it was a long, long, LONG journey..

open house 2005

malas betul nk update fotopages nih. well, lambat laun kene wat gak, so here goes.
we had a raya open house on saturday, 19th of november. most of the dishes, like rendang, nasi himpit and chicken wing bbq we made on the day before, while nasi tomato and kuah kacang on saturday morning. i made 4 banana cakes on thursday. about 30-40 people came, all are our friends. what else to add? hmm overall it was fun, well, i like to cook, so i have no complaint. we had lots of leftovers that night, yum yum, no need to cook for the next 2, 3 days

saturday was a super busy day. in the morning, me, ellina and shanti went to an old friend's wedding at a church near jesmond. then me and ellina rushed to the malaysian society's AGM at belle grove. met up some old and new friends there. then that night me, ellina, ct, yus and nadine went to buka posa at the kublai khan, a mongolian restaurant which serves super good food, halal chinese buffet and great seafood mongolian buffet. after that we went to odeon to watch The Corpse Bride and The History of Violence. what a tiring day! tapi puas hati, asalkan perut kenyang yum yum

kak lysa, this is for you. do choose wisely hihihi for your trip to china next month. i recommend you a wool coat, cos for a 4 degree celcius, it's gonna be pretty cold there and wool can surely keep you warm. and hope you know the difference between coat, jacket and jumper, or better known as sweater.
you usually wear the coat or jacket at the outer most, jumper/sweater is in between you shirt/t-shirt and coat/jacket. altho if the coat/jacket is warm enough, you do not need a jumper/sweater. ie enough with your shirt and a coat. but in newcastle where it can get really cold, i do need to wear 3 layers of clothes, plus a scarf, gloves and ear muff.
do tell me which coat you choose soon, so that i can post it to you. hope you have an enjoyable trip. talk to you soon

managed to finish one of my many room projects. bought 2 40cmx50cm frameless frame from ikea and developed some good old pics of family and friends, and there they are, hanging on the wall for me to view every day

the coast trip

ct, yus, ellina and i went to the coast on sunday with nadine's rented car,tho sadly he couldnt join us. the coast runs from monkseaton (tho i actually believe it runs as far north as blyth) to whitley bay to tynemouth to cullercoats to north shields. we went to north shields first to get the famous fish and chips there and the plan was to eat it at the beach (ala2 picnic hihi) but then the clouds and the rain seemed to butt in so we had to enjoy our food in the car instead. it was a lovely day, i'm not talking about the weather here, we really enjoyed ourselves. now that i realise how cubby i am, think better to think of some diet plan, like, really soon

a trip to whitley bay

i decided to have a picnic at the beach after i finished my work on wednesday. the weather was lovely. i brought yesterday's leftover, some sweets and chocs, some drinks and sat there for a while. i have some some soft spots on beaches; especially picnic at the beach, as when i was a child, my family liked to go and have a picnic at the beach every once in a while. mama used to cook nasi lemak and me and kak lysa and jiman would mandi2 with my dad. dont think iwan, my youngest bro was born yet. such a good memory. tho i dont like to mandi pantai now as much as i used to, but the memory remains. guess the fondness are the same for kak lysa, she's crazy of beaches now

Shanti, one of my housemates, had her birthday dinner @ Panis Cafe. it is an italian restaurant, quite a good one, with good food + good looking italian waiter heheh. i enjoyed myself, met lots of new people, me as usual, kept quiet most of the time hehe. i guess that's my way
